I forgot to tell you about this (unless you’re on Facebook or Guardian Talk, then you’re probably bored to death by my quilt talk by now).
This is a scrap quilt for Bob, S’s baby-to-be. They don’t know if Bob will be a boy or a girl, so I offered to make a bright, colourful patchwork blanket that has some of S’s wedding dress, bits of her bridesmaid’s dress, and a ribbon in the family tartan.
I also added a square or two of skull-and-crossbones jersey, and some bright cottons that were hanging about.
It’s wonky, and the squares are all the wrong shape, but I’ve already got ideas for another quilt. Who knew, eh?
