It’s that time of year again. Every year the Friends of Brimmington Park stage a brilliant urban village fete in Brimmington Park (where else). It’s a canny mix of urban street party and traditional village fete, with stalls from a wide variety of local organisations and businesses (including our favourite Nepalese restaurant, The Everest Inn), offering food , games, bric-a-brac, cakes, and all sorts of loveliness. On stage you will see and hear excellent performances from local schoolchildren, including the Ivydale Samba Band, and other local musicians/artistes.
Kids can also take part in footballing skills workshops with Millwall, promenade their pooches in a fun dog show and get dressed up for the fancy dress competition. I mean, who needs Glastonbury when it’s all happening in Peckham?
