3 May: Finished throw

Finished throw
This is the other project I’ve been working on: a panelled throw from Sew Hip Issue 3.

The filling is recycled from a fleece baby blanket of Charlie’s. I sewed together five strips of cute Japanese prints from Eternal Maker, then backed it with some starry fabric that I found in Rolls & Rems.

The backing had to be handstitched, which meant a few long evenings and much squinting, but I’m quite happy with the finished object.

For some reason Sew Hip’s production editor emailed me to ask if she could use Henrietta Hippo’s picture in an upcoming issue. It’s all wonky and wrong, so maybe they want to have an example of really really bad sewing or something
