21 March: Maritime Museum

Ceej at the National Maritime museumI’ve been totally crap about blogging and Project 365ing recently. This was taken yesterday at the National Maritime Museum. We dropped in on the way back from the Peninsula restaurant in North Greenwich (best dim sum in London, and the queues prove it).

The Maritime Museum is set in Greenwich park, and has an array of boats, compasses knots and general maritimey things. I must confess to being more interested in the planetarium at the top of the hill, but the Maritime museum has plenty of space to run around in, and lots of big machines and boats to gawk at.

There was a storyteller in the upper level of the entrance hall, so we went along to listen. And discovered Ceej’s bestfriendJake and his family in the audience. That was it for Ceej. She and Jake went off exploring and annoying Grandad together. Jake’s older brother was far too interested in the storytelling to move. In fact, he was so inspired, he got up and told a story himself, which the storyteller took with very good grace. He predicted that Dyl would be on the stage himself one day. I think Dyl’s too clever to be an actor…
