It’s still only January, but the weather seems warmer already. And here’s the proof.


I’ve never been sure what catkins actually do, but I remember them from infant school classes on spring, when we used to strip our gardens bare to bring in something for the nature table.

Another nice pub visit last night. Page 2 in Nunhead has been taken over by a nice man called Jason who also runs a tapas bar in Honor Oak. The kitchen has been cleaned up, and they now serve really nice home-made tapas and wines; and they’ve managed to keep some of the scruffy arty regulars from defecting to the smarter newer pubs around the corner. And they want to do jazz brunches with local talent…
